When you open a book,

You're offered a whole new look,

Into yet unknown worlds,

Such as are painted in the living colours of words

When you open a book

You're led around corners and into many a nook

There,to discover an abundance of wealth,

As is needed for your spirit's health

You come awake to ways which in ignorance you forsook

For then,you discover that you can take flights,

And see the world from distant heights

When you open a book

You'll be glad for this simple task you wisely undertook

You'll discover that words are much alive,

And in books are entombed the paths on which nations should thrive
