In this paper, we briefly reviewed the basic viewpoints, arguments and confrontations between hard determinism and libertarianism, and I demonstrated that people can be free as “prime mover unmoved” and thus have moral responsibility for their actions. As Chisholm pointed out at the end of the article, man's ability (as a prime mover unmoved) can't be compared with God's, but it has already given people enough freedom, thus providing space and legitimacy for the establishment of moral responsibility.
