2.Agrippa's Five Modes and the Justif ication of Knowledge: A Reflection on New Pyrrhonism

In the Western epistemological tradition, the justification of knowledge undoubtedly has the core importance: it is directly related to the core issue of whether people can learn and acquire knowledge. This paper will first sort out the challenge of new Phyrronism skepticism given by Robert Fogelin to two mainstream theories of truth: correspondence theory of truth and coherence theory of truth. After that, this paper will introduce a Phyrronism solution given by Fogelin and briefly comment on its success.Finally, this paper will defend Davidson's coherence theory of truth and point out that it can well meet the challenge put forward by Fogelin and become a reasonable knowledge theory model.
