AWS credentials 

AWS uses several types of credentials for authentication and authorization as follows: 

• Passwords
• Multi-factor authentication
• Access keys
• Key pairs
• X.509 certificates

We will have a detailed look at these credentials in Chapter 2, AWS Identity and Access Management.
