1　General Provisions

1.0.1　This code is formulated with a view to guarantee the construction quality of installation engineering for rotating electrical machines，improve the performance of engineering construction and ensure safe operation of rotating electrical machines.

1.0.2　This code is applicable to the construction and acceptance of installation engineering of steam turbine generator，synchronous var compensator and electric motor.It is not applicable to the construction and acceptance of installation engineering of hydroelectric generator.

1.0.3　Transportation and safekeeping of rotating electrical machines shall meet the requirements of this code.The specification of product in the technical documents shall also be complied when there are special requirements.

1.0.4　Retention period of equipment is within a year or less before installation.When long-term equipment safekeeping is necessary，specification of equipment safekeeping shall be complied with.

1.0.5　Equipment and apparatus shall meet the requirements of current relevant standard of the nation and qualification certificate shall be offered.Nameplate shall be offered for equipment.

1.0.6　When equipment and apparatus are transported to the site，inspection and acceptance shall be arranged in the specified time and shall be in accordance with the following requirements:

1　Packaging and sealing shall be well.

2　Type and specification shall meet the requirements of design.Accessories and spare parts shall be complete.

3　Technical documents of product shall be complete.

4　Visual inspection shall meet the requirements of this code.

1.0.7　Technical safety measures of construction shall meet the requirements of this code，current relevant standard of the nation and the specification of product.Technical safety measures shall be formulated in advance for important construction projects or procedures.

1.0.8　Construction engineering related to the installation of rotating electrical machines shall be in accordance with the following requirements:

1　Construction quality of structure related to the installation of rotating electrical machines shall meet the requirements of current relevant standard of the nation.

2　The following demands of construction engineering shall be met before installation of equipment:

1）Construction of roof and floor slab shall be completed without any leakage.

2）Concrete foundation shall reach the permissive strength of installation.

3）Formworks and sundries on site shall be cleaned out.

4）Pre-embedded parts and preformed hole shall meet the requirements of design requirements and pre-embedded parts shall be fixed.

3　The following construction engineering shall be completed before equipment operation:

1）Secondary grouting and finishing shall be completed，and the intension of secondary grouting shall meet the demands.

2）All construction engineering of ventilation kiosk shall be completed.

1.0.9　Installation and arrangement of rotating electrical machines in the place under explosion or fire hazards shallbe not only meet the requirements stipulated in this code，but also the relevant specification in current national standard of GB 50257 Electric Equipment Installation Engineering　Code for Construction and Acceptance of Electric Device within Explosion and Fire Hazard Atmospheres shall be complied with.

1.0.10　Requirements for installation and commissioning of mechanical parts of rotating electrical machines shall be complied with specification of current relevant national standards.

1.0.11　Construction and acceptance of rotating electrical machines shall not only meet the requirements stipulated in this code，but also those in the current relevant ones of the nation shall be complied with.

1.0.12　Construction and acceptance of the imported electrical machines shall meet the requirements of the contract to be signed.
