This Part is revised from DL 5011-1992"The Code of Erection and Acceptance of Electric Power Construction Section of Steam Turbine Set"by Professional Technical Committee on Thermal Power Construction of Standardization Administration of China，in association of relevant organizations according to the requirements of Document GUONENGKEJI〔2009〕No.163"Notice of National Energy Administration on Formulating（Revising）the First Batch of Professional Standard in the Energy Field in 2009".

DL 5190"Technical specification for thermal power erection and construction"comprises the following 9 parts:

This part is Part 3"Turbine Generator Unit"of DL 5190.

The main contents of this Part include:general provisions，terminologies，basic provisions，steam turbine，generator and excitation device，regulation and protection device and oil system，pipes in the scope of steam turbine，auxiliary equipment，accessory machinery，bridge crane，insulation for steam turbine，enclosure，adjustment of turbo-generator，startup，trial run，appendices，notes on standard words and phrases，quotation of standards and notes on clauses.

This Part has the following main technical changes compared with DL 5011-1992:

—The compulsory provisions were specified；

—The scope of application has bee adjusted to"turbo-generator units in fossil fuel power plants，gas and steam combined cycle turbo-generator units，turbo-generator units in nuclear power plants"，without defining the unit capacity and parameters.

The following has been added:

—Relevant provisions on embedded pad blocks and installing concrete cushion blocks for turbine；

—Relevant provisions on installation of elastic vibration insulating foundation；

—Provisions on welding and combination of large LP outer cylinder without soleplate support，installation of 1000MW class units supplied with integrated HP casing and IP casing and hydraulic turning gear；

—Installation process requirements for"four-pad tilting pad"and"six-pad tilting pad"radial bearings；

—Installation process requirements for"Kingsbury thrust bearing"and"half-ring thrust pad"；

—Installation process requirements for adjustable seals of turbo-generator；

—Grouting process and curing requirements for high strength non-shrinking grouting materials；

—Provisions on installation of EH regulating and HP fire-resistant oil pipes；

—Installation process requirements for stainless steel cooling tubes of condenser and installation process requirements for air cooling devices；

—Installation process requirements for air-cooling fans；

—Provisions on air cooling unit vacuum system leakage test and flushing of air-cooling system；

The following has been deleted:

—Relevant provisions on asbestos gaskets and Freon gas and other materials explicitly prohibited to use by the state in the original specification；

—Turbine instruments in the original specification.

In this Part，Items 2 and 3 of Article 3.3.5，Article 4.1.5，Article 4.1.6，Article 4.9.3，Article 5.1.11，Item 4 of Article 5.3.7，Item 1 of Article 5.5.8，Item 10 of Article 5.6.9，Item 1 of Article 5.8.5，Article 6.1.5，Article 6.1.6，Article 6.2.15，Article 6.7.5，Article 7.3.2，Article 7.3.6，Items 1 and 10 of Article 8.2.9，Item 9 of Article 11.3.1，Item 9 of Article 11.9.3，Item 1 of Article 11.10.6，Items 1 and 2 of Article 11.10.8 in bold face are compulsory provisions，and must be implemented strictly.
