Sam's shoes are dirty. His mother says to him, "Look at your shoes. They are too dirty. You must clean them." "But I cleaned them yesterday," says Sam.

"They are dirty now. You must clean them again." Sam's mother says.

"I don't want to clean them today. If I clean them today, they'll be dirty again tomorrow," says Sam.

"All right." Sam's mother says.

In the evening, Sam comes back from school. He is very hungry. He asks his mother to give him something to eat. "You have breakfast in the morning and you have lunch at school, Sam." His mother says.

"But I'm hungry again," cries Sam.

"Oh, hungry again? But if I give you something to eat today, you will be hungry again tomorrow." His mother says.
