ITDP中国绿道定义 ITDP Chinese Greenway Definition

正是由于绿道是一个不断变化的概念，单纯对绿道进行定义确实有局限性。绿道的实质是通过提供多种联系促成多类别的活动，满足具体的、不同种类使用者需求。结合中国目前绿道建设来看，对于中国这样的大国，地区差异比较明显，在规划建设绿道时，应不拘泥于绿道的形式，而注重绿道的实际功能和用途，能够弹性的适应政府的需要和公众的需求。

It is because the definition is constantly changing, the simple definition for greenway has limited explanation. The essence of greenway is to provide various connections for many types of activities, and satisfy different groups of users' requests. As for the current greenway construction in China, the greenway construction is determined by the various differences in many regions in this big country. The greenway construction should not adhere to the form of greenway, but pay attention to the practical function, and adapt to the needs and demands of governments and the public.

因此，ITDP认为：高质量的非机动车交通廊道，通过人性化的设计，让使用者能便捷、安全使用，即为绿道。

Therefore, ITDP believes that the greenway can be defined as "high quality non-motorized traffic corridor that provides convenience and safety to users through human-oriented design."
