2012年设计地段位于举世闻名的水城威尼斯中心，大运河边上。设计任务是艺术家居住与工作室，以及相应的展览和餐饮接待功能。在威尼斯设计建筑非常令人激动，同时也非常棘手。多面的城市环境就像意大利人的性格，独特的城市氛围又引发出丰富多彩的创作遐想。如何处理地域、城市、文化、环境等各种因素所提供的限定和线索？如何在堪称经典的威尼斯加入新的时代活力？学生们的答卷令人耳目一新，几个方案分别从建筑原型的角度，从城市生态的角度，从文化延续与创新的角度进行了探索。尤其是“百宝箱”方案，准确地把握了威尼斯欢快旖旎的城市气氛，巧妙地对历史建筑原型加以转译，此时此地，新旧共生。该方案获得2012年大奖。

The site in 2012 was located in the center of Venice, the world famous water-city, just at the side of the Grand Canal. The objective was to design an artist residence and studio with the functions of exhibition and catering reception. It was quite exciting and also very difficult to design a building in Venice. The urban environment was as multifaceted as the character of Italians. The unique urban atmosphere also gave rise to colorful creation reveries. How to handle the limitations and hints provided by multiple factors such as region, city, culture and environment? How to inject new vigor to the classic Venice? The students' answers were refreshing. A few projects respectively made exploration from the perspective of morphology, urban ecology as well as cultural continuation and innovation. In particular, the“Box”project accurately grasped the happy and enchanting urban atmosphere of Venice and skillfully translated the morphology of historic buildings. Now and here, old and new coexist. This project won the grand prize in 2012.
